Discovering connection: in lieu x nodi workshop
As part of our ongoing milestone collaboration celebrating nodi coffee’s 10-year anniversary, we recently hosted an exclusive, interactive workshop dedicated to uncovering the profound, often overlooked impact that water has on specialty coffee extraction.
Hosted in nodi’s North Point location, the event explored how different water profiles radically alter a brew’s final flavor notes and mouthfeel. Through a blind tasting event, guests learned to identify the subtle chemical interplay between minerals and coffee beans. After this, participants brewed their own filter coffee, witnessing the transformative power of premium water firsthand.
When brewing with in lieu, the unique mineral composition yields an incredibly soft, rich, and velvety texture.Its unfiltered nature allows delicate floral, bright fruity, and deep sweet notes of the roast to be left intact.
For both nodi and in lieu, this workshop was about more than just a great cup of coffee. It was about discovering a purer connection—between coffee and water, between processing and nature, and ultimately, between ourselves and our environments.
